Luke Mooney

Born and bred on the Sunshine Coast, Luke Mooney brings deep local knowledge, entrepreneurial strength, and a relationship-first philosophy to his role at TOWN.

Real estate was a natural evolution from his first career as a mortgage broker, where he spent 11 years building and leading The Moon Group. During that time, Luke also owned and operated multiple hospitality venues, including Mrs Browns Espresso & Bar. His entrepreneurial drive later led him to establish and grow his own real estate agency, Local Property Group, expanding to two offices and more than 30 staff within just a few years. Over eight years, he built a business grounded in leadership, performance, and people.

Across every venture, Luke’s reputation has been consistent, he cares deeply about the people he works with. Whether guiding sellers through the sale of their most significant asset or mentoring staff to achieve personal and professional growth, he is fully invested in the outcomes he helps create. His background across finance, hospitality, and agency ownership gives him a well-rounded commercial edge, while his approach remains down-to-earth, approachable, and honest.

Now aligned with TOWN, Luke brings experience, maturity, and a proven ability to build trust and deliver results at scale.

Outside of work, Luke’s greatest pride is his family, his wife and three children, Odette, Ginger, and Magnus. A lifelong soccer player and recent beekeeper, he remains deeply connected to the community he has always called home.
