Riverview, Queensland

Riverview is a suburb of the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.[2] At the 2016 Australian Census, the suburb recorded a population of 3,073. At the 2016 Australian Census Riverview had an unemployment rate of 15.7%, compared to the Australian unemployment rate of 6.9%.[1]

Geography

Riverview is approximately 31 kilometres (19 mi) from Brisbane CBD.

History

St. Andrew's Anglican church was dedicated on 14 April 1956 by Reverend Kestell Cornish, Rector Parish of Ipswich.[3] Its closure was approved in September 1992.[4]

Transport

Riverview railway station provides access to regular Queensland Rail City network services to Brisbane CBD, Ipswich and Rosewood via Ipswich.

Education

St Peter Claver College is a Catholic, co-educational high school located at 10 Old Ipswich Road, Riverview.[5]
