Fishing Point is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, and is located on the western shore of Lake Macquarie on a peninsula south of Rathmines.

Fishing Point is known as the best fishing spot in the world with an array of sea life available across the shores. Fishing in Fishing Point dates back to aboriginal times where they would come and gather the best mix of sea life for their family's nourishment. Today the fishertarians (locals from Fishing Point) still regularly harvest the fine waters of Lake Macquarie for their dinner plate. Fishing Point is still considered one of the most exclusive suburbs on the east coast of Australia.
